Ian Lambert - Systems Manager
As Systems Manager, Ian leads the team in the development and support of BMG’s information systems portfolio in its different guises as a community consultation portal, skills intelligence system and knowledge management system. Ian is also responsible for client account management and the generation of new business.With over 30 years experience in IT, Ian’s principal technical roles in BMG Systems are Database and Technical Consultant and Application Architect. He is also responsible for ensuring the smooth implementation of client systems and training of client staff.
Ian has a Masters degree in Computing, is a recognised expert in database and data warehouse design and application, and is highly focused on the delivery of applications that meet client needs while being both personalized and intuitive in their use.
Mike Lewis – Senior Systems Consultant
Mike joined BMG Systems as a senior member of the development team in March 2009. His main role is to share client support and account management, specifying new application development to meet the immediate and future needs of the client base.Mike has over 15 years in IT management in the building materials industry. He has also developed and installed Enterprises Resource Planning application software and has worked for a Health Service Primary Care Trust.
Mike is a Member of the British Computer Society, achieving Chartered IT Professional status in 2008. A qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner, Mike also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Management and a BSc(Hons) degree in Computer Science and Ceramic and Mineral Processing Technology.
Galit Leuchter - Senior Software Developer
Galit’s main role at BMG Systems is to maintain and develop the code for our software portfolio. She has over nine years’ experience as a software developer and specialises in browser based
applications. She is responsible for developing new applications as well as increasing the functionality of existing ones, and advancing the technologies BMG use.
Galit joined BMG Systems in December 2008 as a Senior Software Developer. Her career has spanned a number of industries including financial services, building materials and the press. She graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with a BSc in Computer Science (Software Engineering) and is proficient with all IT environments used at BMG.
Mohammed Shafiq - Web and Systems Co-ordinator
In over 8 years at BMG, Mohammed has assisted in developing internal and external systems used by BMG and its clients. Mohammed specialises in developing web related software and has experience in all the technologies we use.
Whilst at BMG, Mohammed has had some bizarre encounters, including two visits to HMP Longlartin. The main objective here was to replace a paper-based NVQ Assessment system with an enhanced state of the art wireless system. Although successful on-site prototype tests were completed, lack of funding ended any progression.
Mohammed has a Bachelors degree in Computing Science from Staffordshire University and has worked for various organisations including the Ministry Of Defence, British Car Auctions and Pendragon plc (Automotive).
